Assets represent your library of files used within the content of your site. An asset could be an image, a PDF document, Excel spreadsheet or any other file.
- In the Asset panel, on the bottom right of the interface, right-click on the folder to which you would like to upload.
- A pop-up will appear with an option to browse your local or networked drives.
- Click Browse... and find the file you wish to upload and click OK in the pop-up window. Depending on the size of the file being uploaded it may take some time to complete the upload process. Once complete, the pop-up will close and you will see the file inside the folder on which you right-clicked.
Normally, an Asset will be published when the containing page is published. You do not have to publish individual Assets, however, you can click on the name of the Asset and then select the Publishing tab. To publish click on either the Publish or Update button.
If an asset is linked from content, and not part of the content like an Image in the text, the asset will need to be published for the link to be functional.
Uploading an Asset of the same name to the same foler will overwrite the Asset. If this is intended, the Asset will need to be published for changes to be reflected on the Delivery Server.
